Review: OPI Nail Envy

Since hearing so many reviews and seeing rave videos on the OPI nail envy, I decided to try it for myself so I bought it from Amazon for around £10. I applied it on the Monday, and then every other day after that for a week and then removed it as the instructions say.

I must say I am more than pleased with it, it has made my nails grow a fair bit, but they are so much stronger than they were. They are so strong now that they do not split or bend which is so new for me; I am so used to brittle nails.

I would really recommend this if you have dry brittle nails that you would like to grow out quickly, and really it will probably last quite a while. Here are some before and afters to show you the difference:

(And I had to file them down nearly everyday!)

Empties #1

1// TRESemme Cleanse and Replenish range, these are only the 500ml sizes but they lasted me nearly two months, and i was my hair every other day. I found that these really deep cleaned my hair- almost squeaky clean, and the conditioner worked really well to put the moisture back into my hair.
Would I repurchase?
Yes, they worked really well, and were non-fussy.

2// Batiste Dry Shampoo, this is pretty cheap and works amazingly well at making my hair appear a lot less oily and fresher. However if you put a few too many sprays in, your hair becomes too dry and quite dusty feeling  and it leaves a dusty film to your hands if you touch your hair, which sucks.
Would I repurchase?
Yup, I already have actually.

3// Max factor Eye-brightening mascara  this has been in multiple posts before because it's my favourite mascara therefore there isn't much to say, but It works very well at lengthening and volumising your lashes with only 1/2 coats.
Would I repurchase?
I already have too, it's only £6.99 and it works so well.

4// Soap & Glory Scrub of your life, this scrub is actually okay. It did the job, I wasn't overly impressed with it, and it's only a travel sized one from Christmas, so I just used it up.
Would I repurchase?
Probably not.

5// Revlon Colour-stay, this is my go-to foundation. It provides almost flawless coverage without using much of it at all. It lasts a good 4 months, and it doesn't oxidise on the skin to an orange colour which is good. A downside is that it doesn't have a pump.
Would I repurchase?
Yes, and I already have.

6// Burts Bees Deep cleansing cream, because of my dry skin i thought i would give this a go in the mornings, so i got a sample size from amazon. I must say it did give my skin a very nouritshed feeling after i dried it, but after a few days it did make my skin feel a little big clogged and in need of a mask, needless to say i did use it all up.
Would I repurchase?
Probably not, it wasn't mind-blowing.

March into Spring: Spring Cleaning

As you can see I was watching Ghostparties video!

Since it's spring I decided to clean up my desk. The above picture is what it ended up like, colourful and organised.
The desk is the brown/black Micke desk from Ikea, it comes with the main desk and the back mount with shelves for storage, it's awesome for organisation and displaying things, it also has a whiteboard on the back, which is awesome for revision!

I had a Chanel bag on display on my wall shelf, but realised it would be a nice pop on my desk, so I added two fake flowers into the bag to give it  a softer look. Now it looks like spring-time on my desk, and keeps me cheerful!

I also like to use old jars and pretty mugs to store my stationary, it looks cute and pretty without much money being spent at all! Also it looks much more softer and girly than an actual pencil organiser!

And an easy way to display and organise things nicely on a desk shelf is to use a cereal bowl and display cute bright lip products in it. This looks really colourful and fun on my desk, but also is handy when getting ready in the morning!

These are just some ideas to spruce up a desk in the spring time, add some fake colour flowers, change up how you display your pencils/stationary, and display your favourite things, be it lip products or sweets or even nail polish! Make it fun and personal it will make it easier to get down to work at your desk!

March into Spring: Motivation

Courtesy of Pinterest

It's that time of the year where the school year is beginning to draw to a close, and exams are right around the corner. If you are anything like me it feels like the last leg of a marathon and it's very hard to find the motivation to keep up the hard work. So i'm going to give you 5 tips to stay motivated!

1// Stay super organised. Honestly it helps so much, if all of your notes are organised and put into folders split into topics, it makes revising and studying so much easier. You will feel better about tackling your revision if everything looks pretty, and is in order and easy to use!

2// Know what grades/marks you need. Go to your teachers and find out how many marks you need at the end to reach your target grade, i.e 200/300 for a B. Then work out how many marks you already have from coursework/exams, to see how many you need in your final exam. This works to relieve pressure from you during exam season, and will kick you up the butt to either work harder/or to focus on the priority subjects.

3// Make summer plans. Make sure you and your friends/family make lots of fun summer plans now, it gives you something awesome to work for. This will keep you super motivated to just do it, because when you are all done and have put all the hard work in, you can spend summer doing all the fun things you wanted to do!

4// Time Management:  organise your time well, do not waste time at school, make sure you are always working on something. If you have 'nothing to do' read your textbook and make revision notes/read around the subject, go back over old lessons. Just make sure you are using your time wisely, it will only benefit you, also when you're done with the day, you will feel super productive.

5// Lastly do not work yourself to the bone. If you work 24/7 all week running up to your exams, you will exhaust yourself before it's even begun. Make sure to sleep well, eat well and generally look after yourself. Take time off in the evenings to watch a film, read a book, take a walk and same with the weekends. Make sure you're not lazy, but don't work yourself too hard, it will work against you!

Have any tips to staying motivated?

March into Spring: Current lip favourites

My four current lip favourites are:

1// Rimmel Apocolips in Nova, I love this stuff! It's super glossy and pigmented and lasts for a good few hours. However if you put it straight from the tube onto the lips it can become quite messy and wet, so make sure to remove any excess before applying.

2// Second is my newest favourite, Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Seduisante. This is such a simple easy colour that just adds a hint of pink without making you look to done. I wear this nearly everyday to college, because it's easy and keeps my look natural and pretty.

3// Mac Chatterbox, this has been my favourite for a while now. Its just so easy, yet it spices up your look very quickly, if i am leaving the house and feel a little 'blergh' i just apply some of this and instantly feel a bit more put together.

4// A new favourite is Burt's Bees lip balm  I am a Carmex long time lover, but this is nice at night because it's much more thick and hydrating, so much so it leaves a film on your lips, so i wouldn't recommend it for during the day.

Nails of the day #1

I just used Barry M's Berry and Look Beauty's Bling nail polishes on my nails. It looks very spring-esque and it makes me very happy!

What's on your nails?

Face of the day #4

1// Of course I always start with my Revlon Colour-stay, it's just perfect for hiding redness/pigmentation/blemishes etc.

2// I always conceal my under-eyes with my Collection concealer in Fair, it completely eliminates dark circles, and really it's my holy grail concealer!

3// To bring some colour back to my cheeks I added High Five cream blush from Topshop, this bright pink blush is perfect for adding some colour that actually looks surprisingly natural.

4// I make sure to add some glow with my H&M bronzer to keep my skin looking healthy, this works great as it really doesn't have any sparkles so it keeps the look very natural.

5// Next I fill in my eyebrows with Coquette by Mac, this colour works great for keeping the entire look very natural and soft without any harsh lines.

6// Then I hide any veins or redness on my eyelids with my Painterly painpot from Mac, this is such a simple product but it's simply amazing at what it does.

7// I apply lashings of my favourite mascara by Max-factor to make my eyes appear bigger and brighter.

8// Lastly I apply my new favourite lipstick, Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Seduisante 91, it is a soft rose, so keeps the look minimal yet pretty.

March into Spring: Mothers day gift guide

1// An easy quick present for Mum would be a lovely candle, anything that smells lovely and relaxing for her to light after a long day at work will be lovely. Neom candles have become very popular at the moment so that would be a nice surprise, but even a Yankee Candle will do!

2// A simple staple for mothers day; Flowers. It doesn't have to be a super expensive bouquet, but it doesn't have to be a petrol station bunch of daisies.. To do flowers well, go to a supermarket and find a lovely big bunch of her favourite flower and dress them up with ribbon etc. Or if you have more time & money, go to a florist and you can pick out the stems you want to add together to personalise the perfect bunch of flowers!

3// Bath products are an easy fun present. All mums need relaxation time too, so why not buy her some yummy lush products and write on the card that you want her to take one night out to pamper herself. She'll appreciate the gesture.

4// Lastly, something really fancy. If you haven't much money, obviously do not do this, your mum will not mind, it's the thought that counts. But if you have more money to spend, a luxurious lipstick, or lip-gloss from Chanel or YSL etc will make her feel super special on mothers day.

This weekend me and my boyfriend went away for a few days, life is crazy busy and we needed time away. Thought you would like to see some pictures:
